Weak spot

A porcupine's most vulnerable space is their soft underbelly. However, few predators have figured out how to get around their quills to attack this weak spot.

Porcupines have been known to kill lion cubs and several leopards who tried to attack them.

Rodents in Africa

The porcupine is Africa's biggest rodent.

Can a porcupine run out of quills?

Once a quill is lost,it isn't lost forever. They grow back over time.A North American porcupine can have 30,000  or more quills, according to National Geographic.

The world's most fearless animal

The honey badger has been called the world's most fearless animal because it doesn't hesitate to attack animals much larger than itself-even lions and crocodiles!Honey badgers are found in  arid grasslands and savannah and even rainforests. They live in burrows in the ground.

A song from Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians that I love

Managua,Nicaragua-song by Guy Lombardo  and The Royal Canadians.

Honey badgers are very spunky

Honey badgers are small, but aren't afraid to take on larger animals.Honey badgers are often called the fiercest animal on the planet. They also hunt poisonous snakes with ease.

A honey badger is so fierce that it can scare away lions. Its weapon: tearing the testicles off its opponents. They are not afraid to play dirty.

Honey badgers are known for their incredibly tough skin.In fact, honey badgers have been known to chase young lions off kills and have been recorded killing buffalo, wildebeest and waterbuck.

The honey badger is considered to be pound - for -pound  one of the fiercest animals in the world. It trots along the African Savannah with a hairpin trigger, spoiling for a figbt.Named for a mop of golden hair on top, honey badgers have been known to take on lions and tigers and leopards,oh my!

Hyenas

Hyenas are merciless scavengers and dirty biters. They often skin their prey alive.Sometimes they pull a warthog out of its den and eat it alive.

Hyenas are vicious predators that gang up on prey and target its softest spot.Once they isolate a prey from a herd, its survival is a near impossibility.Hyenas are savage monsters that rip into the flesh of prey while the prey is still alive.

Hyenas do not target lions, leopards, adult elephants, rhinoceros and adult hippopotamuses. But a hyena will  sometimes rip into the backside of an ailing or injured adult hippopotamus, trying to make a meal out of it.

Packs of hyenas sometimes separate an adult African buffalo from its herd and then bite it relentlessly on the backside. The hyena pack targets the softest part of an adult buffalo:its testicles.

Buffaloes rely on their powerful horns to defend against predators;they are not kickers like horses and donkeys.

A lone adult buffalo is vulnerable ,despite its massive size, when a large pack of predators surrounds it and attacks it from behind.

Quote from J.C.Hutchins

Declare war on passivity.Hush the inner voice that insists you're over the hill, past your prime, unworthy of attaining those dreams.Disbelief is now the enemy,as is the notion of settling.Get hungry-hyena hungry.Get fired up.Find your backbone, and your wings.Flap 'em.It's the only way you'll be able to fly.-J.C.Hutchins

Do lions attack warthogs?

Warthogs are known to face predators head on.Lions will seldom attack a warthog that is facing it.A photographer observed a lioness chasing a warthog across the Chobe River floodplain and when the Lioness was within touching distance the warthog turned and faced her.The lioness then simply walked away.Amazing.

Can a porcupine beat a lion in a fight?

While porcupines may seem harmless, they have been known in the past to kill lions,as well as leopards and hyenas.Their trademark quills are released as a defense mechanism when predators get too close and these can cause nasty wounds that can eventually lead to deadly infections.

Canadians abandoning pets in record numbers

A lot of Canadians adopted pets during the COVID-19 pandemic to combat lockdown loneliness.

In January and February 2023 many Canadians are surrendering their pets or abandoning them in the wild.Pets abandoned in the wild are often found cold, wet, hungry, hypothermic and dehydrated.

Animal shelters are overwhelmed with abandoned pets;animal shelters are at capacity.

More and more people surrender their pets because they are hesitant to take on more responsibility. The cost of pet food and veterinary services has gone up significantly along with overall inflation.

                                                  Poor pets!

Microapartments in Tokyo

Great lyrics of the song Enjoy Yourself(It's Later Than You Think) by Guy Lombardo and The Royal Canadians

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink The years go by, as quickly as you wink Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Hello, I'm Terry, and I'm going to enjoy myself first
It's good to be wise when you're young 'cause you can only be young but the once Enjoy yourself and have lots of fun So glad and live life longer than you've ever done
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink The years go by, as quickly as you wink Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Never right, yes I know Get wisdom, knowledge and understanding These three, were given free by the maker Go to school, learn the rules, don't be no faker It's not wise for you to be a foot stool
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink The years go by, as quickly as you wink Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink The years go by, as quickly as you wink Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
