Fauja Singh(born 1911),a British citizen, started running when he was 89 to cure his depression after his son Kuldip was killed in front of him in 1994 in a construction accident.

Thelma Sutcliffe

Thelma Sutcliffe died in Omaha,Nebraska on January 17,2022 at the age of 115 years and 108 days.She was the oldest verified person in the U.S. at the time of her death,

                                  Sutcliffe had previously survived two bouts of breast cancer over the course of her life.

                                   Sutcliffe credited her long life to never having children,never smoking and 'never worrying about anything',she told AARP in May 2021.

                                   Prior to her passing,Sutcliffe's hearing and sight had significantly deteriorated;however,her mind was still 'very sharp' at the time of her death.

                               A remarkable woman.Truly sad to see her pass.

Canadian missionary murdered in Belize

Brian Townsend,a Canadian missionary from Edmonton was murdered in Belize in January 2014.

                             His badly decomposed body was found just over the border in a Guatemala river and identified by police.Belize commanding officer Dinsdale Thompson added that the wounds sustained by Townsend showed that he was killed.

                                Townsend,64,had  been living and working in Belize for nearly a decade.
