Vancouver's historic black community

There has been a historic erasure of Vancouver's black community.

                                       Hogan's Alley in Vancouver's Eastside was once the home of the black community in Vancouver.In the 1960s as Vancouver expanded the city expropriated the land in Hogan's Alley;homes in Hogan's Alley were demolished and its residents were displaced.
