Minimalism is overrated

Modern-day minimalists are nothing more than a glorified version of the hippies that existed in the sixties and seventies. They are often very self-righteous and tend to be very judgmental of people who don't agree with their lifestyle.

Minimalists constantly talk about giving away things, throwing away stuff and decluttering. But many things given to charities or individuals in North America tend to be thrown away too ,even if they are in good condition or reusable.Instead of constantly decluttering one must use old items for as long as possible or repurpose them.

By constantly decluttering, minimalists often aggravate climate change and contribute to pollution and environmental degradation.

Minimalism can feel liberating to some, but it is a boring and bland lifestyle for others.

Stop making a fetish of minimalism. It is better to manufacture and buy less stuff in the first place.
