Ship that sank in the St.Laurent river in Quebec in 1914

 The RMS Empress Of Ireland was a Canadian Pacific ocean liner that sank on May 29,1914,in the St.Lawrence River in Quebec after a collision with a Norwegian coal ship,the SS Storstad,in dense fog.It sank in only 14 minutes,resulting in 1,012 deaths out of 1,477 people on board,making it the worst peaceful maritime disaster in Canadian history.The wreck of this ship presently lies at the bottom of the St.Laurent river near Rimouski,Quebec.
