 Cassidy street in NDG,Montreal is named after Francis Cassidy,a19th-century Montreal lawyer,politician and prominent figure in the city's Irish community.Francis Cassidy(1827-1873) served as the mayor of Montreal,and was a president of St.Patrick's Society.He was a member of the Legislative Assembly.
