Prevalence of celiac disease

 Celiac disease is very rare in Japan,China,South Korea and Mongolia.Since people in these countries eat very little bread and other wheat products,their exposure to gluten is very low.

                                         Gluten is the protein found in bread and wheat.The longer one is exposed to gluen,the greater the chances of developing celiac disease.

                                        It is a good idea for many people to reduce their consumption of gluten.
