Avian divorce

 New research shows that birds that migrate long distances tend to break up with their partner,a kind of avian divorce.

                 A new study out of the University of Oxford of 232 species found that those who end up separating have long migratory routes.The birds studied are those that are known to breed and raise their young together,and the trigger for the so-called '' divorce'' is low levels of breeding.The bird that leaves,goes in search of a better breeding partner to improve breeding success.-PRI,The World,November 8,2022
