Tomatillos

 Tomatillos,also called Mexican husk tomatoes, were a staple food in Maya and the Aztec cultures-preferred over tomatoes.Today, tomatillos are still very popular in Mexican and central American cuisine.Outside these areas,tomatillos are rarely consumed.

           You can find tomatillos in some Latino grocery stores in Montreal but they are mostly available as a canned product.
