 Memories are not stored in one place in the brain.

     Memories are woven across the brain with the hippocampus has become synonymous with transforming experience into lasting knowledge.It is a gateway for memory but does not store memory.The hippocampus is the brain but not the shelves.

       Memories are stored across the brain in the cortex in networks of neurons.
