The longevity of Greenland sharks

Greenland sharks are the longest -lived vertebrates on earth, with an estimated lifespan between 272 and 512 years. These Arctic sharks grow very slowly-about 1cm  per year-and do not reach sexual maturity until roughly 150 years of age, with some individuals potentially living for nearly six centuries. It is amazing these sharks can hit puberty so late.

I am envious of Greenland sharks.
