The Kingston Penitentiary

 The Kingston Penitentiary has been dubbed 'The Alcatraz of The North's;it is Canada's most notorious prison.It has held some of the worst offenders in Canada.

        Over 178 years the Kingdom Penitentiary has held serial killer Paul Bernardo and child murderer Clifford Olson along with many other rotten specimens of humanity.

           Kingston Penitentiary closed on September 30,2013,ending 178 years of operation .The federal government announced the closure in April 2012 due to the high cost of maintaining the aging infrastructure.
