Legendary singer who died of complications from diabetes

 Singer Ella Fitzgerald died on June 15,1996,at age 79 ,from complications of diabetes.The legendary  jazz singer had suffered from the disease for years,which led to severe complications, including the amputation of both her legs in 1993 and 1994,as well as failing eyesight.She passed away at her home in Beverly Hills, California.

         Due to her failing health,she was mostly confined to her home in her final years.
