Fringe friends

 Fringe friends -Nonessential pals.Basically, you're close enough to keep in touch here and there,but you aren't quite as much of a priority as other people.

         A fringe friend is someone in your social circle who  is known but not part of your inner core,often described as being "always welcome but never the first to be invited."They are considered nonessential pals or acquaintances with whom you have intermittent,polite or casual contact.A fringe friend is a person you kind of know and who kind of knows you too.
