Bird set record for nonstop flying
A juvenile Bar-tailed Godwit set a world record in October 2022 by flying non-stop for 11 days and 1 hour from Alaska to Tasmania, Australia.The bird covered at least 13,560 kilometres without resting or eating,fueled by fat stores and specialised physiological changes.
