44 year-old man tragically died of cardiac arrest in Edmonton after waiting 8 hours in emergency room for treatment

 44 year-old father Prashant Sreekumar died in December 2025 in an Edmonton hospital emergency room area after waiting 8 hours in ER to see a doctor.

                  On December 22,2025, Prashant Sree kumar began experiencing severe chest pains while at work.A client drove him to Grey Nuns Hospital in southeast Edmonton,where Sree-Kumar was checked in at triage and then took a seat in the waiting room.The hospital did an electrocardiogram to check his heart's function,but the family said Prashant was told there was nothing of significance and to keep waiting.

               Prashant waited more than eight hours before finally being called into the treatment area.Just after being admitted to the treatment area,he collapsed and died from cardiac arrest.

                This is a very tragic and unnecessary death.Prashant leaves behind his wife and three children,ages three,10 and 14.
