Gosford street in Montreal
Rue Gosford in Montreal is named after Archibald Atchison,the Earl of Gosford,who was the Governor General of British North America when the street was opened in 1836 through the former Jesuit enclosure gardens,as required by the city's magistrates.
The city courthouse of Montreal is located on rue Gosford.Rue Gosford is situated just opposite Champ-de-Mars metro.
