Aleppo peppers

 Aleppo peppers are named after the ancient city of Aleppo in Syria .They are grown mostly in northern Syria and Turkey,and in its crushed form-it's a staple spice of Mediterranean foods in the region.Popular in Armenia,Turkey,Lebanon and Syria where the dried peppers are crushed into powder and sometimes mixed with sumac or zaatar as seasoning.
