What singer Lavern Baker died of

 Rhythm and blues singer Lavern Baker had diabetes,and the complications from diabetes led to the amputation of both her legs in 1995.She continued to perform after her amputations to cover her medical expenses.

       Lavern Baker(born 1929) died on March 10,1997 at only 67.She died of cardiovascular disease that was brought on by diabetes.
