Parc Edouard Fabre in Ville Emard
Parc Edouard Fabre in Ville Emard, Montreal is named after famous Montreal marathon runner Edouard Fabre (1885-1939),a renowned Canadian marathon runner who won the Boston Marathon in 1915 and who was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall Of Fame.
In 1937 Edouard Fabre suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed on the left side;he died from a second stroke at home two years later on Canada Day,July 1,1939.
