Chimney swifts

 Chimney swifts are birds that are found in eastern and central Canada.Chimney swifts are urban birds that are quick and agile and eat a lot of insects .

                        Chimney swifts are tiny birds that flit high above the streets;they are nicknamed'flying cigars.'

                         Chimney swifts live in chimneys very often.But new homes are usually powered by heat pumps and furnaces;new homes usually don't have chimneys.This is creating a housing crisis for chimney swifts ,and chimney swifts are now a threatened species.

                     Chimney swifts are known to sleep while in flight.They are highly adapted to an aerial lifestyle and can spend extended periods,even months without landing.This includes eating,drinking ,and sleeping while airborne.
