Centenarian marathoner dies in a hit and run accident

 The month he turned 89,Fauja Singh lined up in London to run his first marathon.He went on to run eight more.And in 2011,in Toronto,Mr.Singh became the first centenarian to complete the grueling 42-kilometer race .

       Unfortunately Fauja Singh died in Punjab,India in July 2025 at the age of 114 after being hit  by a car while crossing the street.What a tragic end to a great life!

         He was a great source of inspiration to thousands of runners around the world.
