Dondurma is also known as Turkish icecream and is a thick and chewy dessert known for its stretchy texture and resistance to melting.The icecream is made with four ingredients:milk,sugar,salep and mastic.Salep,a unique ingredient derived from wild Orchid tubers,gives dondurma its rich flavor and chewy texture.Mastic,a resin from the Mastic tree found in Turkey and Greece,adds a subtle pine flavor and contributes to the chewiness.
