Metronormativity

 Metronormativity is a concept often used in LGBTQ+ concepts,that refers to the assumption that urban areas are inherently more safe,welcoming and liberated for LGBTQ individuals than rural areas.It posits that  a metropolitan lifestyle is preferable to LGBTQ people,leading to a devaluation of rural existence.
