Forget-me-nots and their lookalikes

 Forget-me-nots(Myosotis) and brunnera are both known for their beautiful flowers,but they differ a bit in their habit and foliage.At first I had a hard time telling the two apart and sometimes I confuse brunnera flowers with forget-me-nots.

             To begin with, generally speaking Forget-me-nots have lighter blue flowers compared to Brunnera.Brunnera is also known as false forget-me-not.

         Forget-me-nots are smaller,lower-growing plants with delicate,slender leaves  and flowers in small clusters,while brunnera is a larger,more robust plant with heart-shaped,often variegated leaves and flowers in looser,airy sprays above the foliage.Brunnera is perennial.
