What skunks eat
Skunks are omnivorous and will eat not just fruits,vegetables,and grubs but also small mice or rabbits and ground-nesting birds.
Skunks are particularly fond of insects,small mammals and carrion.They also enjoy fruits,berries,nuts and even scavenge for garbage and pet food.
Skunks may also eat eggs, amphibians,and even human refuse like garbage and compost.
Skunks are not afraid to scavenge for carrion,which includes dead animals and other decomposing matter.
They are particularly fond of insects,small mammals and carrion.
Skunks usually feed at night,exploring forest edges,meadows,marshes,ditches,stream banks,and lawns for small rodents,insects,reptiles,carrion,grubs,fruits and vegetables.
