Kava

Kava is a slightly intoxicating brew made from the roots of the kava plant. It's a traditional drink in Polynesian culture, but in much of the western world it's poorly understood ,and in the UK it is prohibited.

People routinely go to kava bars in Polynesia, especially in Vanuatu;they socialise, relax and consume several shells in kava bars.

Simon Gellar,a criminology professor at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom told CBC's AS IT HAPPENS on December 4,2024 that drinking kava helped him deal with chronic pain because he has degenerative disc syndrome in his lower back.So by chance he found out from consuming Kava that it reduced systemic inflammation.

Probably kava should be legalised in other countries too.Why be so puritanical?
