Cottonmouths

Cottonmouths are snakes  also called water moccasins. They are very common venomous aquatic pit vipers with a defensive nature that often leads to outlandish stories of aggression in the minds of the fearful.

A large cottonmouth often shows off its namesake" the cotton white" inside of the mouth as a threat display.
