Sleeping while flying

 Frigate birds,wallows and Alpine swifts  are among the birds capable of sleeping while flying.They use unihemispheric slow-wave sleep to rest one half of their brain at a time,allowing them to maintain flight and stay alert to their surroundings.This remarkable ability helps them conserve energy and cover long distances.
