Ian Fleming,the creator of James Bond
Novelist Ian Fleming grew up in a wealthy family in England.His father died while fighting in World War I.
In the early 1930s Ian Fleming was a journalist for Reuters where he perfected the art of writing quickly.Ian Fleming was a bird watcher;he also loved cars,as evidenced in his book CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG.
He fell in love with Jamaica while on a trip there and bought a beautiful piece of land there.Ian Fleming's home in Jamaica was called Goldeneye.He wrote all of his novels in Golden eye.
Ian Fleming died of a heart attack in England in 1964 at the young age of 56;he had been a heavy smoker and drinker for most of his life.
His son Caspar Fleming was found dead in 1975 at the age of only 22.Very sad!
