Answer.The Deonar dumping ground in Shivaji Nagar ,an eastern suburb of Mumbai ,is India's largest landfill in 2022.It was set up in 1927.It is India's oldest dumping ground.

                The mountain of waste there is sprawling and imposing,18 metres high.Waste pickers there scour the garbage dump for pieces of metal,plastic and electronics to resell.

              1,00,000 livelihoods in Mumbai are directly linked to waste-picking in this landill site in east Mumbai alone in 2022.
