Sinai desert

The bleakness of the Sinai desert is broken at the edge of the Red Sea by a cluster of green mangroves, trees that usually prefer more humid, wetter climates.Resistant to salt water, they play an oversized role in fighting climate change.

It is important to increase mangrove trees which sequester carbon dioxide. When mangrove trees die, they release carbon dioxide and this contributes to global warming.
