Wild pigs

Wild pigs are huge, invasive and very hard to catch. They eat plants, tear up the soil, rip up trees;they are omnivores;they eat ground nesting birds like goslings and ducks.

They are well-adapted to the cold and spend a lot of time in winter under the snow, under the soil  and under spruce trees.

They spread disease and cause crop damage. They hide under willows  and use crops as hiding cover.

Wild pigs foul water ecosystems. They have no sweat glands and to cool down in the summer heat they wallow in wetlands and lakes;water quality in lakes and wetlands suffers as a result and e-coli can be spread.
