The extraordinary R.Norris Williams(1891-1968) proved the doctors wrong.R.Norris Williams survived the Titanic sinking in 1912 but spent so much time submerged in the icy Atlantic ocean that doctors wanted to amputate his legs on rescue ship Carpathia.He refused the amputation,recovered and went to win the U.S. Tennis Championship that very same year.Incredible!
