Toddler killed in Toronto by falling air-conditioner from high rise building

Crystal Mirogho was just 2 years old when she was hit and killed by a heavy window-mounted air conditioning unit that had fallen from the eighth storey of a Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) building in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Mossbank on Monday,November 11,2019.
The toddler was being pushed by her mother in her stroller at the time. This is such a tragic story.
Improperly installed window-mounted air conditioners in apartment buildings pose safety hazards to passers-by.Window-mounted air conditioners should be placed above balconies whenever possible to reduce the safety risk.
