Global population trends

In India,China and much of the developing world in 2018,rapid urbanisation is causing a decline in fertility rates to an unprecedented degree, according to Darrell Bricker.
On the farms, kids are an asset and an extra helping hand. When people move to the city, kids become an expense and become another mouth to feed.
When villagers move to urban areas, they usually make a rational economic decision to have less kids.
As women move from rural areas to urban areas, they often get educated and want to join the work world. As women get more empowered, they usually choose to have fewer kids.
In China the fertility rate in 2018 is 1.5.In India ,the fertility rate has gone down below 2.1 in 2018 in more than half of the states.
