The Los Angeles Times is making a colossal mistake in dropping Robert Scheer as a columnist from its op-ed page.Scheer is opinionated,leftist and spunky-he counters rightwing propaganda too effectively.Without Scheer,the calibre of the LA Times op-ed page
will decline.
Incidentally,as a Montrealer,I also happen to think The
Los Angeles Times is a better newspaper than the mighty New York Times,in several ways.
